Associate image files with Windows Photo Viewer by following the steps below.
Right click the file and choose "Open With" -> "Choose Another App"
Select "Windows Photo Viewer" and check "Always use this app to open .___ (jpg, bmp, png, etc) files" and clikc "OK"
You will need to repeat this step for any additional image files you are having difficulty with.
